Rep. Dave Joyce (R-OH) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) introduced the Preparing Regulators Effectively for a Post-Prohibition Adult-Use Regulated Environment Act (PREPARE) Act on Thursday.
The PREPARE Act seeks to establish a regulatory system for cannabis at the federal level that mirrors the framework currently in place for alcohol. It would direct the attorney general to create a commission that would be tasked with making recommendations for the regulation of cannabis.
